My all around favorite jig to fish is the bullet head jig in 1/4 & 3/8 oz My other 2 choices are arkie & football head jigs all in light wire hooks I fish jigs 98 % of the time its totally a year around lure for me. I build my own jigs so giving the bass a different look with different style and colors. I like too add yamamoto 4" double tail grubs. and 5 " single and double tail grubs as my jig trailers. I like the bullet head because you can swim them over around and through cover i add a wire loop weedguard for heavier cover like trees and brush piles when im in rocks ill go without the guards swimming them over the rocks without losing contact with the structure im fishing. Also in the winter time fishing vertical with the bullet it is deadly lure for fishing bass in 30 to 60 feet of water with a spinning outfit with 6,8,10 pound test line.
