While i love my old 5 deg bottomline sidefinders,recently put together another bottomline unit that has 20 deg each side,bought depthfinder for 12 bucks and puck later for 20 inc shipping,yup ebay brand new in plastic pkg still.
Anyway hooked it up on the console,curious to see if I could read the depth correctly as thats what I needed .
Upon trying out found it not only reads depth (this was a mating of two differnt models one of puck and other the fishfinder with same puck connectors,so wasnt positive it would work),it also reads each side seperately .Meaning go or stradle a dropoff or ledge it shows bottom on one side and all between and top on the other,split screen thing.
!2 ft one side other was 21.
---\__ and know it was true as know the dropoff is there,clearly showed all of it,and marked fish all over the drop.Do other sidefinders do this?
