Today was the last day I get to use my VIP card for Bass Pro Shops. For those of you that don't know, when you buy a boat like my Z-6 at BPS, they give you a rewards card that gives you 10-20% off your purchases for two years. It's saved me more money then I want to admit. So I figured I would take my tax refund in and give the old economy a boost.

(...no... there were no AR-15 mags or rounds in stock. I checked. Twice. )

Anyway while I was there I ran into Dean, my salesman from my Z-6 sale. He and I have always chatted when I would see him there, and he is just an all around great guy. Up until the service incident, I was dead set on buying a Z-8 from him.

I finally had to tell Dean that I bought the Phoenix, which I really wasn't looking forward to. To my surprise, he was genuinely happy for me, and completely understood why after I told him about what happened in service. He even asked to see pics of the Phoenix, and showed them to his coworkers. Talk about an absolute stand up guy and an asset to Nitro. It made me reconsider looking at Nitro again when I trade up from the Phoenix.

It felt weird "braking up" with my salesmen... ;) Guess I'll just have to invite him fishing!
