I have a 1985 Evinrude 150 with a problem raising when i activate the power tilt. I can assist it by hand, but thats not right.
It goes down ok. slow and controlled.
engine got stuck in the raised position a few days ago.
I checked fluid level today and found it proper.
I can hear the tilt motor whinning when I operate it.
Thought about draining and refilling. Do not know when the thing was last serviced.
Maybe its just time for a new tilt motor?
Anyone had similar problem. any clue on how to fix it?:wallbash:
