Opinions on using anti-seize compound on jack plate bolts.
What I sorta know about it...
positives:
1.) Reduces risk of galling ss fastners
2.) Reduces torque requirement by approx. 20%
3.) Makes later removal easier
Negative:
1.) Lessens effectiveness of nylock type nuts.
These are things I read/hear over the years but don't have scientific/engineering data to turn hearsay into absolute fact. What's everybody else doing?
