The 2009 Lake of the Ozarks Big Bass Bash was a huge success, with a record crowd of 1,520 fishermen. Anglers hit the water Saturday morning, looking for that big bass that would net them some of the $136,000 in prize money, including a $50,000 top prize for the largest lunker of the weekend.

We here at the Big Bass Bash want to thank each and every angler for participating in this event. Without all of your support this tournament would not be what it is today. We are already looking forward to a bigger and better event next fall, and hope to see all of you there.

Ben London took the top prize of $51,000, with a 6.63 lb. largemouth caught on Saturday and weighed in during the 1pm-3pm time slot. Ben reported catching the $50,000 fish near the 11 mile marker of the Osage, working a green pumpkin Berkley Power Hog through a brush pile in around 10 feet of water.
Ben, who works in home maintenance and remodeling, praises GOD for allowing him the opportunity to win the 2009 Lake of the Ozarks Big Bass Bash. Congratulations again Ben!
