I have recently aquired a 1998 merc 200 efi. It has less than 70 hrs. since new and still has the oil injection hooked up. I have done some researh on this failure issue, and i'm a little confused on this. I know it would be beneficial to pre mix, the confussing part is that at low idle the engine burns leaner. If I was to diconnect the oil injection would this affect the low idle with smoke or fowling plugs? I would appreciate any opinions of you guys out there to try and shed some light and stop the mass confusion I have rendering in my head as to disconnect or not.:wallbash:
