Custom step up

has anyone built a custom made step up to their front deck? I have a 14" step up to the front deck and it isn't step friendly for anyone. I would want to build a custom step up and make it into a small storage area also. I would love to hear from someone who has built one or has some good ideas to custom make one. I have a 2005 Nitro NX882.
