Daiwa 2025 Prorex MQ LT – Cold Cranking Power
DAIWA has brought out the new Prorex MQ LT for anglers looking for a top notch cold water spinning reel. Now featuring a ZAION V Monocoque Body, Daiwa’s advanced, proprietary, single-component body design. This is made from high-density carbon fiber to make an extremely lightweight, rigid, durable, and corrosion-resistant reel body. The design maximizes internal space to fight the larger Daiwa Tough Digigear drive train of the reel. Additionally, the new Prorex MQ LT comes with the AIRDRIVE reel system to reduce weight on the reel while improving strength, vibration control, and reel feel.

Designed with cold-weather anglers in mind, many of the features have been specifically made for just that. Such lower gear ratios for dealing with cold, thickened grease and slower cold water lure presentations. These reels are available in four sizes (2000, 2500, 3000, 4000) and have an MSRP of $219.99 to $229.99.
“There are design elements you can implement to make a reel perform better in temperatures below the 50-degree mark,” said DAIWA Field Marketing Manager, Chris Martin.
