How much you want to bet that one day, our boats will have these.

Well, for a mere $60K :eek: ....ahem...for the mere COST OF A NEW PHOENIX 921... you can have an Electric outboard right now. That includes a battery pack which gives you between 2 and 3 hours of full throttle run time. It's only $26K if you bring your own batteries.

Okay...it's not ready for prime time. But I have to admit, I kinda of like the idea, especially in land locked lakes. No Gas. No oil. Electric miles that can be bought for pennies on the dollar compared to what we pay now for gas. Plus there have been some recent advancement of batteries that promise 3 to 5 times the battery life.

Right now, an hour of running my boat flat out costs me about $65 in fuel and $5 in oil. It would cost only probably $5 for the same thing with the eFusion outboard.
