Spent some time out on the waters off Tamiami Trail today. Low water levels are a thing of the past (spring) as the rainy season and flood gates have the L67 stretch as high as it gets in the summer. We managed to catch around 30 bass in total, including 5 that were 14" or bigger (2-3.5lb range) but fishing patterns are definitely in full summer mode. Water temps were reading around 86 degrees and fish are deep for the most part so worm fishing was definitely a good choice. I did manage to catch a couple of bass on flukes and Rebel Pop-R top water but the ones I managed to pick up were real tight on the lilly pads.

Still a great day out in the water! Can't wait for water levels to drop though so the big boys move back out into the main canal. Over and out till the next trip!
