Summer bass fishing report... Fished Florida Everglades today launching from Tamiami Trail ramp (L67). Current was pretty strong today. Must be running 4 pumps at Holiday Park. Gotta say, fun day overall considering we were able to land some nice bass using topwater lures in 85 degree waters... My buddy was fishing worms most of the day and probably pulled 10 bass using watermelon colored 7" worms on a texas rig. Summer patterns are definitely here with threat of rain several times but we never got wet, fishing from 12 noon till 7:30pm. I am certain partly cloudy skies, switching to overcast helped the topwater action.
