Saturday Hikes at Lake Guntersville

Join Park Naturalist Patti Donnellan each Saturday for a hike through some of the most scenic countryside in the state. Weather permitting, hikes usually begin at 9 a.m. with trails and starting locations varying.

Lake Guntersville State Park has 31 miles of nature trails. Many lead to forested streams, hidden waterfalls, historic structures such as old home places and cemeteries, or along the banks of the pristine Guntersville Reservoir. During the hike you may see deer and other wildlife.

On March 19, Patti will lead a hike along the Loop Trail to count trillium wildflowers. Meet her at the Country Store at the entrance of the main campground at 2 p.m. to go on this hike.

Information about Lake Guntersville’s trails can be found here.
