Heading to my place at Santee for the weekend. Normally stay away from the lake on holiday weekends but have missed some weekends due to the heat and also the storm last weekend. Expect to fish friday and saturday if the boat traffic is not too bad. Santee is 110K acres and the congestion that one usually finds is in the creeks with the pontoon navy and their jet ski squadrons. Once in the main lake you have plenty of space you just gotta watch for the stumps etc.
Looking to fish some lilly pads this weekend and maybe a little drop shot stuff as well. It will just be good to be on the boat during some reasonable weather for a change.
