Some of you may find this of interest if you have a Hyd. Jack Plate or take some of these ideas and create your own. I'm not saying this is the only way to make one, this is just my version and it can be altered to fit many applications.................. I did this mod for 2 reasons;
#1 Reduce the back wash that comes up through the J/Plate and into the boat when coming off plane. Some stuff there plate w/baskets balls, but plate that moves makes that very difficult and my HYD pump is in my plate.
#2 Assist in getting on plane when the boat is loaded to the hill with full live wells, a heavy weight partner & his gear, coolers for two people etc. and the ability to stay on plane at slower speeds.
