I have read a few times in the past that if you run your main cranking down in your boat while your out on the water is... that it is ok to jump start your outboard off your electric motor setup.

Now being a 12v troller is fine..my question is...if you have a 24v troller setup do you have to disconnect the terminals from the both batterys on the troller batterys or is it safe to jumpstart from the 24v as setup as long as you use the positive and the negative on the same one battery while it it still hooked up as 24v system ?

From what i understand is that you dont have to unhook the 24v setup and it is ok to jump start your outboard as long as you hookup you jumper leads ON THE ONE BATTERY ONLY from the 24v troller setup...
