Does anyone know if I would have any performance gain, either top end or handling by installing a 4 or 6 inch jack plate on a 09 G3 Eagle 180, running 115 hp. Yamaha 4 stroke, 19 pitch SS yamaha prop? I already raised my engine 1 hole, its on the 3rd one now. I gained a couple mph by doing that & it seemes to have improved some handling. My cavatation plate is running 1 1/2 inch above the pad. Ive been told by some its doing all it will do now, running 53 mph speedo, @5500RPM, trimmed up, fully loaded, 2 people, slight chop in water, full of fuel. Should I keep looking for more out of this rig? If so any suggestions?
