Finally got a new bass boat and decided to hit one of my favorite lakes. As usual, there was yet another tournament this morning. No parking unless you could get creative. Cars and 2 cars parked in trailer parking ( they cant meet somewhere, then go fishing with their buddy?) Water was warm...78 deg. but calm till a slight breeze later. Hard to get anything to hit....millions of mayflies landing on the water ( wish I had a fly rod ) and the bass knew it. Smart fish knew they could just wait for a small floating meal. Had a few hits on a white zoom, 1/8 bullet wt. Still a good day....took the wife on her first fishing trip and she really enjoyed it, even though all sh got was a large gar on a live shiner. I'm thinkin St. Johns & hwy 46 tomorrow............RAY
