Anyone who can let me know the model year of this motor-- your info would be greatly appreciated!! Model J150STLCUR; Ser# R 7497038The spark plugs in there now are NGK BUHXW-1 but i have been told to use Champion UL77V. Assuming this is an '87 motor a Clymer manual has a
"See note 3" recommending QL77JC4 gapped to .040" for sustained low speed operation and QUL77V or UL77V for high speed use. Confused on that also
I run my boat slow compared to most ( 30-45mph) so which plug would you guys recommend?? Thanks for your guidance and for this great website,
