Hello guys, im rebuilding both my live wells. Neither one worked when i got me boat so im not sure if everything is there or if they are in the right place. Let me explain.
The front livewell has the yellow tube with holes mounted high up on the tub. The incoming tube has a "T" on it and one goes up the yellow tube and the other has what looks like an "on/off" valve. Not sure if this is right.
The rear one is smaller and has the yellow tube up top but its not plumbed to anything. The incoming fitting has the same looking "on/off" valve but that's it, no "T" or anything. Now the this one does have a manual on/off ball valve outside the livewell. This looks like its just to shut it off completely.
Ok, so i think the rear one is missing some stuff.
Im going to make some assumptions as too how the livewell works, tell me if im way off.
So with the front live well, i should turn the on/off valve so that the water comes down from the top yellow hose with the holes, once it gets full the water goes out the overflow hole. To empty the live well i reach in there and turn the on/off valvle the other way and the water drains back out the pump? Is this correct?
Does the rear operate differently or is it just not hooked up right?
