How many others have lost your best friend/fishing buddy? Mine passed away in November of 07. Died in his sleep. I am still trying to deal with it. Last year was the first fishing season without him and it was a difficult one. I didn't fish nearly as much as I would have done if he had still been here. I did take other people along but of course it wasn't the same. Opening day was the most difficult since we never missed one together. I fished alone that day. A new season will coming up here in a couple of months and I hope to get out more. I just don't seem to have the same ambition to go out. I was given by his family some of his rods and reels and lures we used together as a remembrance. I have not touched them since. Do you think I should take this stuff out and use it? I still keep in touch with his family and a couple of them still come up and fish with me a time or two a year.I was just wondering how others have coped with the same situation?
Treasure every outing you have with your partner as it may be the last you have together.
