If you were to order a BRAND NEW Allison XB2002 or XB2003, what would be your choice of motor. Keep in mind, this is a NEW boat with a warranty. Any 3.0L or bigger motor will void your warranty.
Myself, I would have to go with a 2.6L 175 or 200 VMAX HPDI and then Hydro-Tec it. My 2nd choice would be the small-block 200 ETEC and try to figure out a lower-unit for it.
I think if Yamaha makes a 2.8L V4 based off the VMAX SHO in a 135-175 (or even a 200 small block) that would breath new life into these smaller Allison BAssers.
