The weather is finally starting to cool down over here during the nights and early mornings

You can actually sit outside in the morning and enjoy a cup of hot coffee without the bugs trying to cool off by swimming around in your cup.

As the saying goes, the farther you travel to fish, the worse the fishing will be.
However, it will improve immediately after you leave to return home, thus the old saying:
The fishing is always better the day before you get there and the day after you leave.
