New for 2009: RANGER Z522 COMANCHE
More room, features and fishing space
FLIPPIN, AR (July 23, 2008) Bass anglers whose need for acceleration and high performance is echoed by a need for fishing space, expansive storage systems, striking good looks and next-generation styling have a new favorite boat: the all-new 2009 Ranger Z522 Comanche.

On the heels of the enormously successful 2008 introduction of the Ranger Z520 Comanche, the Z522 takes the evolution of the 22-foot fishing platform where it has never gone before. Measuring an expansive 22 feet, 4 inches in length, the Z522 Comanche is rated for a maximum 300 horsepower and sports a redesigned interior, a host of fishing-friendly features and a hull design drawn from the versatile and acclaimed 500 Series.

Inside, the Z522 Comanche comes equipped with virtually every modern fishing feature that serious anglers demand: a choice of Lowrance or Humminbird electronics mounted at both the bow and console, 24-volt Minn Kota Maxxum trolling motor (with optional recessed foot pedal), stainless steel compression lid lock system, 10-inch hydraulic jack plate and remote oil fill. Available in both single and dual console configurations, the Z522 also features a redesigned, polished-aluminum 7-gauge instrument panel that includes speedometer, tachometer, fuel, trim, water pressure, temp and voltage.

"The 22 foot platform has been a very popular model in our line for those looking for even more space and features in a bass boat," said Ranger Boats President, Randy Hopper. "We've now given it a sleeker appearance, added a spoiler off the rear deck, modernized the instrument panel and given it an enormous amount of storage. Whether it's fishing the Great Lakes in a rough chop or exploring large southern reservoirs, the Z522 Comanche handles as great as it looks."

A pair of 32 gallon fuel tanks give the Z522 an extended running range to get to the most remote fishing spots and back again, while Ranger's exclusive SRS Soft Ride Seating® system and hydraulic steering provides the ultimate in comfort and responsiveness. The Z522 Comanche also features loads of lockable storage and gives anglers a total of three rod lockers which handle rods up to 8 feet, 6 inches in length. An innovative tackle management system is also included and rounds out an incredibly long list of standard features.

Like all Ranger boats, the Z522 Comanche comes paired with its own custom-built RangerTrail® trailer. Designed to perfectly match the boat ensuring years of smooth and easy towing, the Z522's trailer is equipped with Road Armor finish, L.E.D. lights and Ranger's COOL Hub® lubrication system as standard equipment. Designed and built in the same factory and to the same exacting specifications as all Ranger boats, RangerTrail® trailers are custom aligned with individually balanced wheels, feature swing-away tongues, swing jacks that retract flush to the frame as well as torsion axle suspension and locking.
