I've read in this site that many guys drop a bar of soap in their bilge area to keep it clean. The soap splashes around while the boat is moving and then when they pull the drain plug it all empties out. My question -- if you have to run the bilge pump while it has some soapy water in it will the soapy water harm the bilge pump????
