For me, they've been a staple for years. I just lost my last coachdog version of the Rapala minnow bodied single spin and hope they still make them. I also have good luck with Roostertail. For some reason they seem to hit that well in spring. Maybe the bait they're feeding on is smaller but yesterday I caught one bass on a spinnerbait, one on a jig, and about 10 on the Rapala spin. I also caught about 4 crappie including a real monster pushing the biggest slab I've seen in a long time. Then I hung it and lost it and was so discouraged I loaded the motorcycle up and rode home.
We are making the trip to OK City tomorrow and will hit Bass Pro and see if they have any of those, and some of the small single spin Roostertails. I hope we don't have the excitement there they had a few days ago. Some guy in the parking lot was trying out his new holster he'd just bought and shot himself in the leg. :maxshoot3:
