You'll all think I'm nuts for waiting this long, especially since I live on a lake full of bass but I just spooled line on my new Lews Tournament reel my wife got me for Christmas. All I can say is "WOW" ...my 1st cast went into my neighbor's yard and he lives across the channel that connects my lake to the smaller lake around the corner. I just did a little underhanded flip cast with a Rapala Skitter Pop and it just kept going, going, going probably about 30 yds. I never knew I was missing all that distance potential with my current old reels I've been using. I even filled it with 14 lb test and it's only rated for 12 lb. Oddly enough that 1st cast produced a fat bluegill on the plug, not the bass I was hoping for but a fish none the less.
