Fished my favorite spot yesterday (L67-Big L canalway). Got out at 6:15am and fished hard until 2pm. Water levels are slowly starting to rise, water temps were in the 82-83 degree range. Definitely starting to feel the summer upon us. Although we managed to catch some nice ones (including a 5lb bass), it's definitely no longer the March and April feeding frenzies we experienced.

Fished a Zoom horny toad along with Pop-R's in the morning. Gotta say, the early morning bite was on with bass exploding on those horny toads like crazy. Top water quickly slowed down as the 12 o'clock sun creeped up on us and fishing got a bit tougher. Sill biting on stickbaits and X-Raps, did manage 1 or two bites with a weedless frog deep in the lilly pads. Definitely thinking about fishing deeper with soft plastics on the next trip out there.
