today with my daughter. We got off to a late morning start but still managed to catch a few good ones before deciding the SUN was to much.
My old skin is THIN & can't take to much direct sun before I start roasting like a bird on a rotisserie.
We started out trying to make something happen with top water lures but only got one good blow-up & it somehow managed to miss both sets of treble hooks. Then we went to soft plastics & it was ON, we got 11 over 5 lbs. & 9 in between 4 - 5 lbs. Sliding a big 10" worm thru the grass seemed to work best.
Also had what must have been a big stripe take a new lure without the chance of even slowing him down but I can think of worse ways to lose a lure
