concerning the tying off of an anchor.

i always throw mine off then tie it off using a bow cleat and never really pay much attention to it but here of late the winds are kicking up a lot of water and of course splashing in.

i have seen some tied off using the bow eye so it does not pull the bow down as much like tying to a cleat, here is the question.

how in the heck does one get the anchor rope to pull the anchor up ( my bow eye is way down there), i'd fall over trying to get mine.

how is it tied off, is it always tied to the eye, some body "splane" this to me:confused:
