Built to hold up to the harsh conditions of saltwater, this new series has been made for exceptional durability and performance. That way, saltwater anglers can use the Contender Series anywhere they please, from the surf, inshore, boat, or pier. All of the Contender rods feature a heavy-duty tubular glass rod blank, stainless steel guides, and X-Wrap rod handles.
The Contender reels come with aluminum spools, thick stainless-steel bail wires, and soft-touch handles. MSRP for the Contenders reels ranges from $46.99 to $74.99, depending on size and reel type. The Contenders rods and combos have an MSRP of $36.99-$41.99 for the rods, and the Combos are $74.99-$94.99.
