Up the Volume with the Berkley Screamin’ Choppo
Berkley Fishing is bringing the noise with the new Screamin’ Choppo topwater bait, the latest evolution of its topwater lure lineup. The Screamin’ Choppo is still built around the same plopping topwater that anglers rely on, but now with added sound. It features a high-pitched squeal to break through the surface noise and draw in weary fish. With a patent-pending sound chamber and concentric rivet tail design, the Screamin’ Choppo emits a sharp screech as it’s worked across the surface. Along with the new sensory changes, the Screamin’ Choppo now comes with a stable, wider body, letting it run true even in choppier conditions. The design also enhances casting distance and control with its internal weight system. While the cupped tail and internal components have been built to hold up to heat, wear, and aggressive retrieves. The Berkley Screamin’ Choppo is available in two sizes, 95mm • 110mm, and nine colors with an MSRP of $14.99 per topwater lure.

“The Screamin’ Choppo is all about increasing your odds in tough conditions,” said Nathan Ragsdale, Senior Product Manager for Berkley. “By layering a disruptive sound profile over an already proven action, anglers now have a powerful new tool for drawing strikes when fish aren’t committing to the baits they’ve seen over the past few seasons.”
