This is my first post on this forum. I have asked this question in a couple other places with some good answers but no real pinpoint answer. Too start I know this is not your prototypical bass boat but I use it for that and snagging where I have some heavy loads. I have a 13.25x17 Yamaha aluminum for the heavy loads and a 13x18 mercury vengeance for the 1 or 2 people fishing.

The 17p Yamaha runs 37-38mph with the heavy loads at 5200rpm
My two questions are. The 17p is in bad shape and I want to replace it.
Is there and better choice for my boat with the light loads than the vengeance. Some have pointed me to the Power tech RED-3 or the NRS-3 and Solas 17p to replace the aluminum.
