Used Boat Bad motor

I have found a 1998 Nitro Z8 with a 200 Marnier. The boat itself is in great shape but the Boat motor has a bad piston. The price of the boat is hard for me to pass. But my corcern is what it will take to rebuild motor and/or fix the piston. What are your thoughts on buying this boat. This will be my first boat.
