Arrived at boat ramp at 6AM. There was flat wind & heavy fog, 65 degrees and about 30 boats in line for check-in at the FLW event tent. We went around all of them and launched quickly. As we turned to go thru the Clewiston lock, it was apparent there was zero visibility on the open lake.
We ran about 2 miles to my 1st spot and found fish everywhere blowing up. There were schools of small shad being slammed by Pelicans & Seagulls from above and bass from below. We headed for the birds an immediately started hooking up using white Bass Assassins rigged Texposed.
Best fish was about 3-4 lbs but we boated 13 in all by 10 AM along with a bunch of missed fish. When the fog lifted, it quickly got to 80+ degrees.
I included a few PICs but sorry the camera wasn't as clear on the shots I tried to get for you all. There were over 30 21 foot rigs with 250-300 HP all lined up behind the stage and fully sponsor wrapped. Most awesome site ever!
