  • The lake level was 655.0; plans call for slowly raising the level to 655.2 by the weekend, then depending on rainfall and generating demands, rising slowly to 659 by mid-May. Surface temperature at Bagnell Dam was 45 degrees; tributary temperatures were 43 to 47 degrees. Anglers should still use extreme caution to prevent accidental immersion and possible hypothermia.
    BLACK BASS – On 3/22 the local team of Schanuel and Waring won the BWS Guys & Gals tourney with 18.97 pounds, Big Bass was 6.09 pounds. It took 22.5 pounds to win the Central Pro-Am. Lower Osage: Fair, try Jerk Money 120 jerkbaits around rocky points and channel swings, also try Bullseye jigs tipped with green pumpkin colored Berkley’s Havoc Craw Fatty. Glaize Arm: Fair, try shaky head jigs tipped with soft plastics around dock brush on points. Gravois Arm: Fair, try jigs tipped with Berkley’s 4-inch Chigger Craw. Mid-Lake: Fair, try brown Crock-O-Gator jigs on points around dock brush. Niangua Arm: Fair, try Smithwick Rogues around rocky points. Upper Osage: Fair, try jerkbaits toward the front of coves. Osage 60 MM: Fair, try jerkbaits or small jigs dressed with watermelon colored plastics.​
